| 0 says Birmingham, AL is a hot food city, which is good news for investors.

It turns out Birmingham isn’t just a great place to invest, it is also a great place to dine, which makes it an even more attractive city for investors.  According to Zagat, Birmingham tops the list of culinary hotspots.  The Magic City even beat out heavyweights like Nashville and Atlanta.

Birmingham received Zagat’s number one ranking for Next Hot Food City thanks to chefs like Christ Hastings of the James Beard-awarded Hot and Hot Fish Club, Frank Stitt of Highlands Bar and Grill, and Clifton Holt of Little Savannah.  Zagat was also impressed by the revival that downtown is seeing, including the addition of several local eateries like Bottle and Bone in the uptown district of downtown.

Birmingham’s Fudge Family Farms, which provides  restaurants with local beef, and an up-crop of local breweries, including Avondale, Trim Tab, and Cahaba also caught the editors of Zagat’s attention.  The variety in eateries was also a bonus.  Choices range from casual food trucks to upscale restaurants, providing a sampling for any taste and appetite.  With a burgeoning foodie market coupled with a booming real estate market, Birmingham provides an ideal location for investors.
